Each year, Gettysburg College students continue to represent the United States as Fulbright recipients, sharing the knowledge and skills they gained through our liberal arts and sciences education with new students all around the world.

Distinguished Alumni Award recipient Clarence B. “Jack” Rogers, Jr. ’51, is recognized for his transformative legacy of philanthropy, leadership in technology, and decades-long support of student innovation.

In recognition of the late Clarence B. “Jack” Rogers Jr. ’51 and his extraordinary legacy of leadership and philanthropy, Gettysburg College has named its Innovation and Creativity Lab in his honor. The facility will now be known as The Rogers Center for Innovation and Creativity, following a motion passed by the Board of Trustees in May.

Awa Diop ’29 sought a college that would feel like home. She wanted small classes where she could connect with professors and peers and opportunities to strengthen her passion for service. At Gettysburg College, Awa found a supportive living-learning community.

Spanish Prof. Aarón Lacayo makes a difference each day in his students’ lives, bringing energy and enthusiasm to his classes. As a professor of Spanish and Latin American studies, he supports underrepresented students in the undergraduate classroom. He hopes his teaching helps students develop a well-rounded education, thoroughly diving into the interwoven culture and art that he researches.
